Many individuals believe that rock salt does not contain any iodine and regular iodized table salt is the only option, however, an average individual only needs less than 200mcg of iodine in daily diet, and which is significantly full filled by other dietary sources like dairy products and seafood, and rock salt naturally possess more than the required amount.
Rock salt is highly salty and hence required in less quantity as compared to white salt, however, due to less amount of sodium and high granule size per serving more quantity of rock salt is required to achieve a similar taste as created by regular table salt.
